About

Our History

Established in 2015, Conwy Sailing and Watersports Group brings together representatives from sailing and water sports clubs, businesses and training providers within Conwy county, with the purpose of promoting the marine leisure industry within the area. The Group is currently made up of approximately thirty members from various organisations across the county.

The aims of the group are:

• To promote sailing/water sports in Conwy

• To provide a strategic view on sailing/water sports

• To support sailing/water sport clubs/businesses in Conwy

• To attract funding into sailing/water sports in Conwy

• To further develop skills within sailing/water sports

• To develop key priorities for sailing/water sports in Conwy

The group meet on a quarterly basis at various locations hosted by our members, holding an annual general meeting in the March of each year.  From time to time it organises workshop style sessions to review and develop the Group action plan, arranges for guest speakers to attend meetings and attends marine events, when possible, to promote the group and member organisations.
