All Afloat is a charity run by RYA Cymru Wales. All Afloat aims to transform lives through the power of boating. Wales’ leading RYA Cymru Wales and Sports Wales charity programme to get people hooked on sailing for life. To promote community participation in healthy recreation through the provision of facilities or grants for participating in boating. To support individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of youth, age, infirmity, disability or financial hardship or social circumstances to help improve conditions of life.
Bay of Colwyn Sailing Club
We are a friendly sailing club in the beautiful town of Rhos on Sea, in North Wales. A number of club members have moorings allocated by Conwy Harbour Authority in the harbour with is only 100 yards from the Aberhod slipway where shelter is afforded by the Rhos-on-Sea breakwater. The moorings are half tide moorings giving almost four hours of sailing time on one tide. Other members have moorings in the Conwy River and various locations across North Wales. Our boat park is situated at Rhos Point about 200 yards west of the harbour, where the cruisers are laid up for winter, with its recently fitted hi-security CCTV system, boat shed, tractor and shower facilities. Rhos on Sea is betwixt Llandudno and Colwyn Bay and is one of the best sailing venues on the North Wales coast. Being only 90 minutes from Manchester and 2 hrs. from Birmingham. Rhos on Sea has a good wide slipway which is for the sole use of sailing boats. Launching is free and is sheltered from all but an easterly wind.
Grwp Llandrillo Menai offers a wide range of full and part time courses at its 3 colleges and multiple campuses across North Wales. These include marine engineering and boatbuilding courses at levels 1, 2 & 3 along with RYA shore-based courses and on-thewater training in conjunction with local watersports centres. Apprenticeships are also supported in association with local employers.
Students have gone on to pursue a wide range of exciting and rewarding careers both in the UK and around the world. These include serving in both the Merchant and Royal Navies, wind-turbine support vessels, fishing, water-sports instruction, and programmes for disadvantaged children. In addition, many have gone into shore-based roles working in boatbuilding and repair (both traditional and contemporary), marine engineering, chandleries, brokerage, harbour authorities and marinas. Colwyn Jetski Club
The club was formed in November 1996 to promote safe personal watercraft riding, and to allow representation with the local council. We meet and launch from the Porth Eirias slipway in Colwyn Bay every Sunday and Bank Holiday from Easter through to end of September. CJSC are recognised as an RYA Training Centre for the RYA Personal Watercraft One Day Course. In 2015 we purchased our own tractor to assist with launching and retrieval across the sand to the water’s edge. Members of CJSC have a free service of the tractor, there is a small charge to Non Members. Conwy Harbour Office offer a discount to members of CJSC on the purchase of an Annual Launch Permit.

Conwy Harbour offers a wide variety of facilities to harbour users. These include: Car park for permit holders, Fuel at competitive price, Berthing sites, Boat storage facilities, Electricity cards, Power washing facilities, Water taxi, Multi-purpose harbour boat ‘Jac y Do’ and Harbour office with dedicated staff.

Conwy Marina Berth Holders Association
CMBHA (Conwy Marina Berth Holders Association) is an organisation that looks after the interests of people who have boats berthed in Conwy Marina. The cost of membership is kept low, currently £10 per annum and the association is run by a small committee of volunteers. Newsletters are emailed to members almost monthly and news is also posted on this home page. There is a separate page in this website that gives details of member benefits but these are mainly local discounts, membership of a boating community and representation of berth holders' interests to the marina management and within local boating forums.
Conway Yacht Club
Conway Yacht Club based in Deganwy supports Yacht and Day Boat racing in and around the Conwy Bay. The club organises races throughout most of the year, details may be found on the Conway Yacht Club website.
The Club has two active racing fleets: the Cruiser Class and Conway One Design Class. Each Class is represented on the Sailing committee. At Conway Yacht club we have secured a longboat and invite members and non-members alike to get on the water and join in rowing sessions from the pontoon in Deganwy, next to the signal box.

Dyffryn Conwy Paddlers
Canoe club based on the Conwy estuary, specialising in marathon paddling and touring. DCP is a canoe club based in Conwy, North Wales. Our main activity is paddling flatwater boats on the Conwy estuary, in sociable evening sessions and timetrials. However we also go on trips to other rivers, participate in races, and have active interests in other paddling disciplines such as sea kayaking, surfski, and white water racing.
We also run the annual Conwy Ascent race. One of our best features is the fleet of boats we have available for members to paddle. These range from stable boats, suitable for complete beginners, right up to racing K1s and K2s.
Club events include a variety of activities from social paddles to fitness training sessions, tours or races on waterways away from home, and evening talks on subjects of interest. All paddling sessions are run as peer paddles.

Llandudno Sailing Club is one of North Wales premier venues for sailing. A dinghy sailing club situated on the promenade of Llandudno. We are a family friendly club, that offers casual and competitive sailing, a great learn-to-sail programme, social programme and we also host National events!

Rydal Penrhos Sailing
An RYA Training Centre for Sailing and Water-sports based at Rydal Penrhos School, Colwyn Bay offering a provision for all pupils who love being in, on and around the water in a safe and fun environment.
RYA sailing tuition from Beginner to Racing, Kayaking, Windsurfing and SUP, 7 years to adult. The school has its own private boat park adjacent to the promenade in Rhoson-Sea. Boat and surfboard hire scheme and boat park provision available. RYA accreditation programme for Sailing, Advanced 4 Performance Sailing and Spinnaker Sailing, windsurfing and powerboating/Windsurfing/SUP/British Canoeing Union Star Awards/Holiday Courses – also open to the general public/Summer activity week water-sports residential tour.
